Grad Trip: First Leg

I saved this message specifically for tonight since my blog officially unfolds NOW! We’ve safely arrived in our first destination, despite a bout with un-plowed snowy/icy roads, an entire hour of never going above 30 mph, and non-stop rain thereafter.

We didn’t let it deter from our mood, despite the snow plow driving right by us without salting or plowing a damn thing. However, the never-changing highway did a good job of almost inducing madness from boredom a la The Shining. What saved us was a stop in historical Savannah, GA where we recovered with hearty English food and took in some sights.

Now we’re in our quaint hotel room with the heat going full blast, ready to make our Conan T’s before we head to bed & begin the second leg of our journey.
